I have always been fascinated with ants and social insects in general. My aim is to investigate wound care strategies in ants and their evolution across various ant species lineages to understand the differences in strategies between various ant species and why they evolved that way.

I am working mostly with species such leafcutter ants and the queenless ant specie Diacamma cf. indicum from Asia. I hope to build a framework that will ultimately allow us to improve our knowledge on wound care behaviour and social immunity strategies in social insects.
